Lenten meetings

We will host a Lenten series of five meetings in the parish hall, held on consecutive Thursday evenings at 7 pm, starting on February 19. Each session will last up to one hour and will feature a three-part video, followed by a sharing and discussion period after each part. While sessions are connected, they are also designed to be self-contained, so you can attend any individual meeting without needing to participate in the others. Please note that, due to the format, these meetings will be held in person only.

The themes are:

  • The Existence of God. Why bother thinking about religion? Five reasons not to believe in God. Arguments for the existence of God?
  • Who is Jesus? He came to bring life to the world. The Saving Death of Jesus. The light of the Resurrection.
  • The Holy Spirit and the Church. How the Holy Spirit can change your life. No one gets into heaven alone. Why we need signs, symbols and sacraments.
  • The Gift of Faith. What is faith? Are Christians just stupid, or are there good reasons to believe? How to take a step of faith.
  • The Meaning of Love. What is love? How to love your neighbour. Knowing the love of God.

It would be helpful if you could register in advance using the form below.
