Youth Groups

Since 2017, our Parish has been blessed with weekly activities for youth from P4 all the way to S6. In order to cater for different age groups, we have two youth groups:

  • Junior Youth Group for P4 to P7
  • Senior Youth Group for S1 to S6

Mission

“To nurture the spiritual growth of the Parish children and teenagers after the Sacraments by creating a safe Christian environment where they can:
TALK & LEARN about themselves, their vocation and their faith
DO & SERVE their Parish community in lots of different ways
HAVE FUN & GO DEEPER by participating at games, social events and retreats.”

DO & SERVE. The youth have carried out many Fundraising Events for different charities, such as St. Kizito Schools & Community Charity and Street Friends Aberdeen, and they have also actively participated in charitable events such as helping Street Friends Aberdeen in going about a meet homeless people in the streets of Aberdeen City. Youth will also read, prepare songs and play instruments for the Youth Mass as well as helping out with the younger children at Children’s Liturgy.

HAVE FUN & GO DEEPER. The youth will have the opportunity to play games during every Youth Group session as well as days out and participate at retreats during the year such as St Michael Centre in Tomintoul and Pluscarden Abbey near Elgin as well as summer camps such as Generation Hope Summer Camp in Cairn Brea, Scotland and LifeTeen Summer Camp at Alton Castle, England. Games and fun will always be part of our sessions as well as specific social nights. We will also look for opportunities to join other groups in the Diocese for retreats.
